The AR2 Approach
At AR2 Equine we develop horses and riders through classical foundation training that prioritizes clarity, balance, and long-term partnership.
Using patient, progressive methods — including pressure and release — we help horses become soft, responsive, and confident partners. The result is a horse that carries itself and its rider with ease, whether the discipline is Western, English, or a blend of both.
No shortcuts. No force. Just clear communication and a foundation that supports a lifetime of good work.

Horse-paced horsemanship
We believe every horse learns best when given the time to process each lesson without undue pressure. Our method allows each horse to progress at a sustainable pace—never rushing through vital milestones, yet avoiding the overworking that causes a horse to check out mentally. By combining classical principles with evidence-based horse psychology, we foster true confidence and emotional balance.

Building from the ground up
Our mission is to educate horses thoroughly, ensuring no gaps or holes are left in their foundation. We begin by moving the horse's feet with clear intention to influence the mind first. When the mind softens and connects, willing physical movement follows naturally. From day one, we cultivate respect, responsiveness, understanding, and an eager willingness to learn.

Meeting horse and rider where they are
Whether you are starting a young prospect, refining a high-level competition mount, or seeking clearer communication in the saddle, we honor each individual's learning style. By listening closely to the animal in front of us, we bridge the gap between horse and rider to form a calm, capable, and unified partnership.
"Working with AR2 Equine completely transformed my horse's mindset. The focus on patient groundwork and understanding horse psychology gave us the foundation we were missing."
